The beginning of this Project! First stop West Ellicott!
Like I stated before, my project idea was to take pictures of the local areas around here and compare them. The first location is the lovely residential area that is West Ellicott.
~ This is a picture of a street behind my house in West Ellicott. The road is bumpy and uneven, and the houses are lined down the street, close but still retaining their own yards. Mailboxes are only on one side of the road for the convenience of the mail man. Many of the mail boxes contain red boxes next to them for the post journal.

i really like this picture... the lines from the street give it a lot of depth. i think you have a good idea for your project can't wait to see more :)
Shelly - I like your original idea of taking pictures of the local culture from your perspective especially how maybe growing up in Jamestown could be different from Lakewood or Celeron. I like this first photo but I'd really like to see you get the human element in your series. I do think you can have landscapes or still lifes especially if you are comparing or contrasting areas (like this is West Ellicott but what does Lakewood or Jamestown look like landscape-wise to you) but what I think is interesting is showing the kids your age and what there personalities/places are and how they are the same or different based on where they live. You just need to ask people to take some photos ( I know easier said than done) but most people if you explain what you are doing will do it. And again, I'm telling everyone this but you need to carry your camera around alot. People will start to ignore it after awhile if you always have it!
Hi Shelly - I like what we talked about on Wednesday. So, I just need to see some photos so we can see what direction this is going! Just post them or I'll see them on Wednesday!
Shelly - I did talk to Mr. Yelich this week and I'll let you know what he said on Wednesday (too complicated to blog) but we should be able to do something. Just didn't want you to think I forgot!
